Death Note: L, Change The World Hitting Theatres This April

k

Viz pictures recently announced that DEATH NOTE: L, Change the World, will be a live-action two-night, multi-city event on April 29th and 30th at select theatres. The first showing will be subtitled and the second dubbed. I personally prefer subtitles to dubbed any day. Personally, the movies are not as great as the manga and anime version in my opinion but if you are a hardcore Deathnote Fan, you will see them to support the series anyway. That and if you have a crush on L, I again choose the anime version of L. Is that odd?

For those that do not know about Death Note , it is basically a manga, anime then later movie series based on a notebook coined “The Death Note”. This book allows the owner to kill off anybody by simply jotting down the name of that  unlucky person. Later it becomes a cat and mouse game between L and Light the owner of the notebook, that is killing off the people. L being the detective trying to figure out who the murderer is.

It is the best drama I have seen to date if you love shows like CSI you will love this series.  So, my otaku lovers check your local movie theatres for the exact listing times and get your butter of popcorn and rasinets ready!

  1. I watched the first 10-15 mins of it and instantly thought it was horrible. Just make this movie into an extra anime episode and everything will be ok.
