Moekko Anime Inspired Bus Tickets Huge Hit in Japan!
A Hokkaido bus company has decided to participate in the anime moe frenzy over taking Japan. I mean just look at Mio for K-ON! you know anything moe is a good thing. In response to the failing amount of passengers The “Moekko” ticket, which can be used on the coastline bus service of Hokkaido that runs through Rumoi city and Toyotomi town (none too central areas in the Hokkaido countryside) was introduced.
It is more concentrated to help push the tourists to ride on the bus. I know if I was in Japan I would ride the bus just to have these as a souvenir!There are two designs, the 1 day free ticket (¥2300) and the 2 day free ticket (¥3200). Each character has their own storyline printed on the ticket.The tickets were announced in April and started selling like hotcakes in May.They report receiving around 150 applications from everywhere from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

I wish the buses around here offered those. All I get is a stupid yellow piece of paper as my “receipt” when I ask for one. I would definitely wouldn’t mind flashing this card when I take a trip on the bus.
