Ok PerezStart.com followers. There’s good news and bad news. Good news is there’s a God of War 3 Demo that we have been playing and loving with our official impressions coming Monday. Bad news is we couldn’t get a Demo code for you guys… yet (we’ll try). So make sure you come back Monday since we’ll have a full write-up on the Demo, with screens for viewing. Ever thought of getting body painted? I’d be concerned about the “artist” painting. Come on, they’re the guys who go to Hooters. They’re not there for the culinary cooking!
Body painting, or sometimes bodypainting, is a form of body art, considered by some as the most ancient form of art. Unlike tattoo and other forms of body art, body painting is temporary, painted onto the human skin, and lasts for only several hours, or at most (in the case of Mehndi or “henna tattoo”) a couple of weeks. Body painting is also referred to as (a form of) temporary tattoos; large scale or full-body painting is more commonly referred to as body painting, while smaller or more detailed work is generally referred to as temporary tattoos. Infinity Ward’s latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 trailer is… interesting. It does show some gameplay footage, but for the most part it’s a PSA to ‘Fight Against Grenade Spam’, or F.A.G.S. for short. Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels tells us random grenade throwing are, “for pussies”. It’s kind of strange he’s suddenly included in the PSA, but I believe it was to tie in with the World Series that’s currently underway.
With the amount of anticipation for Modern Warfare 2, I don’t think this was a smart move on the part of Infinity Ward. Yes, we all hate random grenades. If you think about it though, aren’t all grenades that kill you random to the one getting killed? You never expect them, but then when you hear it, you’re for the most part surprised.
What are your thoughts? You think this trailer was over-the-top, or do you think it’s just right for Modern Warfare 2?
Namco-Bandai recently released the sequel to their popular Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche which was released in 2001 on the PS2. Even though the game is titled Magnacarta 2, this isn’t a direct sequel of the original title. Magnacarta 2 will have players fighting their way across the Lanzheim Continent, but will players have any fun doing so?
Game 1 of the Major League Baseball World Series between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phiilies is wrapped up. Winner of the first game goes to the Philadelphia Phillies in a 6 – 1 effort backed by a complete game from Cliff Lee and a stellar hitting performance by Chase Utley hitting 2 HR’s. Even more impressive was the World Series simulation prediction by MLB ‘09 The Show.
Gone Gold are the two best words a gamer can hear. What it means. In simple terms (are there harder terms) it’s been finalized and the stamp (gold) is now turned to mass produce the finished product. The God of War Collection will hit store shelves officially on November 17th. For those who contemplated on “why” to get the GOW: Collection if you have the PS2 versions, can I say “PS3 Trophies”! Or maybe 720p Blood slashing Kratos cut-scenes. Or finally the PS3 Demo for the upcoming title God of War III.
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 fans will be glad to know that until November 1st, that can pick up Map Pack 1, 2 and 3 for $4.99 each! Or 400 Microsoft points for those who don’t understand the math behind them. Myself included.
EA’s Need For Speed: Shift has been around the block to bring us their latest driver game. Slightly Mad Studios has polished their development skills when making Need For Speed: Shift and it shows very well. The enhanced detail of NFS: Shift is amazing. By far the best feature are the much needed road arrows. Now, you can clearly see when a sharp turn is too sharp for your vehicle thanks to “green”, “yellow” and “red” arrows clearly marked for you on the road. You’re first race sits you in the most realistic cockpit view I’ve ever seen of a sleek white BMW. By the way, have I given you the impression these graphics are amongst the best in the racing franchise? Good.

If you’re an Xbox 360 owner, you’ve been enjoying the wonders of Netflix for quite some time. It seems 360 owners won’t be the only console on the block to be able to stream Netflix movies as they announce today Sony’s Playstation 3 will soon be able to stream Netflix as well.
PS3 owners should be able to stream Netflix movies in about a month. Plans are to supply PS3 owners with a Blu-Ray readable disc that will allow PS3 users use Netflix’s streaming service. As of now, no mention of a XMB icon for Netflix to be made availble, similar to how the Xbox 360 has a dedicated section for Netflix without the need to insert a disc.
