If you are like me and watch many an anime, you realize by now that Japan hosts some sweet festivals during the summer.
The summer festivals in Japan are filled with delicious food, fish scooping, acts, goodies to purchase, etc.
I am delighted to announce that one of my favorite places to shop and eat at, the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater, NJ will be holding their own festival right in their parking lot.
The festival booths open at 11am this Saturday August 14th and last until 7pm the same night, but please stay for the Bon Dance & Taiko Masala as they run between 6pm-8pm.
If you have yet to visit Mitsuwa Marketplace and are a local, you really should, they have some of the best and inexpensive food I have ever tried, the Hamburger steak alone at Tokyo Hanten, is to die for!
I always get myself some Japanse sweets and snacks at their grocery store at each and every visit, it is kind of a little escape to Japan for me since I have yet to travel there.
The Perezstart team will be attending in full, so we hope to see you there! It should be an educational, fun & delicious time for sure. Perhaps they will end it with fireworks and or a contest for a trip to Japan for two, cross your fingers, I know I am!
More information on Mitsuwa Marketplace can be found here
P.S. There are also Mitsuwa’s in Chicago & Torrance California, the event in Chicago has passed unfortunatley, but the one in Torrance is this weekend aswell.
