GTA IV and The Lost And The Damned, Play Online For Free

gtadlcxbox 400x225 GTA IV and The Lost And The Damned, Play Online For Free

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Microsoft, those who own a copy of “Grand theft Auto 4″ or “The Lost and Damned” can play online for free, no matter which account you have.  This may only effect a small amount of you who do not have a Gold Account, so all you frugal Silver Account members will finally be able to test the waters online and partake in GTA Multiplayer modes.

“The Lost and Damned” arrives on February 17 for 1600 Microsoft Points ($19.99) and kicks off the six days of free “GTA” access; this offer doesn’t provide full access to the XBL Gold-level service. You don’t need to own “The Lost And Damned” to access the free services, but you do need to own “GTA IV.”

Starting at 9:00 am on February 17th, through the 22nd, anyone who owns Grand Theft Auto IV and/or The Lost and the Damned DLC; will be able to play for free.

Enjoy you cheapos, err.. recessionists!

    I am hoping this is a sign of things to come. With the PSN & Wii offering free online services, Microsoft should also offer online services for free too. If you factor in how much advertising they do on the XBLM, then they could go completely free as long as theirs advertising support. I mean, if I’ve gotta scroll through Gillette & Doritos commercials, I at least want something.

    Good point Beebs. I just don’t know how PlayStation is doing it then. I hardly notice their ads on the PSN. Although I’ve had a strong urge for Stove Top. Coincidence I say…

    As long as it isn’t Hamburger Helper. We actually had that one night and I kid you not, it tasted like diarrhea with cheese sprinkled on top. I was more upset that I paid $3.50 for diarrhea when I could have had supplied my own.

    BTW: Is there a contest for the grossest comment? I think I might have won for this year.

    @Joshua Dowling
    It’s only available for Xbox 360 owners. If you do have the 360 version, you need to first purchase & download it in the Marketplace. When the download is complete, start the game and the game will ask you if you want to play ‘The Lost and the Damned’. Hit A and the story will load.
