Perezstart wishes everyone a Happy Mother’s Day! That goes to everyone even those with an aunt Gertrude that raised them or perhaps their grandmother, as mine raised me.  As a wise person told me once, a mother is one who takes cares of you, raises you and is always there for you. Not just necessarily the one who births you.  I know some of you may not have their mother at this point and time. This may be a sad day for some but if she is not here, she is up there in the sky protecting you. If she is here tell her you love her everyday and how much you appreciate her.

No one is perfect and I am sure she has made a few mistakes down the road but be grateful that she stuck by you through thick and thin and made you the person you are today. Remember all the kisses on the boo boos , the lunches, the special “talks”, perhaps the wedding day when she burst in tears as she gave you away. Recall many a night where she waited up for you , until you returned home. The special desert or meal she would we make just for you and most importantly the unconditional love that a mother or one that raised you as their mother can give. Thank her and show her your gratitude not just this Mother’s Day, but everyday.  Best wishes to all today, I hope you have an amazing day!

All the love in the world to my future mother in law for raising such an amazing, funny and caring son and for taking me under her wing in the process, making me feel at home since day one. Love you Mami Zaida!
