Kids learn about cursing, drugs, prostitution and so on in the outside world way before they play games. Sadly there is a 13 year old gamer that is a parent already that I read an article on. What's in games is reality. I played doom and I came out great! Just ask Juan and BB! All parties in the video gaming industry know that these games are primarily played by kids. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know there are ratings out there. Bottom line: Kids get their hands on them anyway. They play these games and become engrossed in obscenity. It becomes funny, right up until the point it becomes reality. Don't get me wrong, I love war games and understand that violence sells. However there are limits. Video games that include prostition, beating of women, and other obscenities such as cursing are completely unecessary and do nothing but contribute to the degrading moral values of our culture. We should use the video gaming industry as the perfect example of how our society will corrupt anything it can get its hands on. What started with the most simple of concepts ('Pong'), now requires a rating system as an unsucessful attempt to protect the next generation gamers. Cursing is a symbol of the limitations of one's vocabulary. If you can’t get through one paragraph without swearing, then you need to get a dictionary and starting expanding your vocabulary.
