The ever so popular mobile app Angry Birds will find a new home this week. Angry Birds will be arriving on the PS3 this week and also playable on the PSP. It will be a PlayStation mini but trophy support is fully expected. The first “try before you buy” app was a huge success on the itunes store with all smartphones benefiting. 20 million benefiters to be more precise. That number is about to go up…
Angry Birds — The survival of the Angry Birds is at stake. Dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds’ eggs. Use the unique destructive powers of the Angry Birds to lay waste to the pigs’ fortified castles. Angry Birds features hours of gameplay, challenging physics-based castle demolition, and lots of replay value. Each of the 63 levels requires logic, skill, and brute force to crush the enemy.
To summarize the synopsis above — oxymoron, I know — You are given different types of birds that you will fling across a side scrolling level. Your objective is to knock down a castle held up by pigs. Makes sense? It shouldn’t but it’s alot of fun. I demo’d the game on Babylinda’s Droid and as I passed levels 3 and four I saw the addiction. Now it’s only a matter of time before the queen of PixelJunk Monster herself (my wife) gets wind of this title.
No pricing yet, but since the mobile app was $0.99 on itunes, I can only imagine Sony will increase this to $2.99 since most of their minis go for that.
