Borderlands: Beyond Platinum

I rarely get platinum trophies considering the fact that I am often bored with a game before I get close to platinum.  With that said, it’s pretty rare that I find a game worth playing beyond platinum, but Borderlands has become my exception.  I didn’t start playing Borderlands until last month and regret not picking it up at launch.  I’ve done almost everything you can do with the game, including getting the platinum trophy for it.

I’m not sure if it’s my addiction to collecting various weapons or the fun online aspect of the game, but I’m going to keep playing the game despite the fact that I have obtained nearly every trophy.  I’m missing a couple due to the game glitching on me preventing progress, but I might pick them up playing through as another character.  I feel I’ve done everything I wanted to do with the soldier, so I am moving on to a play-through with the hunter.

If you are one of the people out there who never picked up the game, I highly suggest doing so.   I didn’t think I’d like it, so I passed over the game for months until I read Darth Mazza’s review of the game here on PerezStart.  While my enjoyment for the game started out slow in the beginning, the game simply got better and better as I moved along.

I concur. I’ve logged 53 hours into it, beaten it and go back quite often to try and conquer crawmerax which is freaking hard to do. Hopefully a borderlands 2 announcement this e3.

I’d definitely like to see a sequel within a year. I haven’t heard anything about one yet.
