New Fallout Game Announced, ‘Fallout New Vegas’

During a press conference in London today, Bethesda’s Peter Hines announced the new game will be called “Fallout: New Veags”.  This new title is not a sequel or prequel to Fallout 3.  It will be it’s own game independent of Fallout 3.

“It is not a sequel to Fallout 3,” Hines said. “It’s simply another Fallout game in that universe.”

It will be the same sort of role-playing game experience seen in Fallout 3, said Peter Hines

The game will hit the PS3, PC and XBox 360 next year.  More news as we get it…

    Hopefully this new game won’t be a massively glitchy like Fallout 3 was. Also, I wonder if they going to shaft PS3 owners by tricking themselves to M$ again.

    Massively glitchy? I admit there were a glitch or two in Fallout 3, but to make a statement like “Massively glitchy” indicates that anything and everything you did in the game was broken, which I highly doubt as Bethesda wouldn’t release a “Massively glitchy” product.

    As for the news, I am excited to hear more about Fallout New Vegas. They did so much in DC that I could only imagine what they will do when the city is Las Vegas!

    @Daniel Perez
    You are either not a PS3 user or you are dead wrong. Well, no it wasn’t hardly glitchy as a stand alone game but once the DLC was added (or the GOTY version that comes with them) it was a total piece of junk on PS3. It was HORRIBLE! It’d either outright crash or eternally freeze every 5 – 10 minutes… and no that is not exaggerating. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still my favorite game in the whole world… but on a DIFFERENT system! And PS3 is the system with the least problems, they just didn’t do a good job for the PS3.

    I do own a PS3, but I purchased Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360. Sorry to hear PS3 owners got the short end of the stick. 🙁
