I don’t see why they don’t simply give us software emulation and allow us to install PS1 and PSX games. Something tells me they pulled BC from systems to sell their classic games on PSN. I do have faith in Sony though. They have gamers in mind with their decisions, unlike Microsoft and Nintendo. The fact that they encourage you to share PSN downloads with select friends says a lot.

This essentially will be software BC, as it is making the Cell interpret the PS2 games code like it was a emotion engine, think of it like running a emulator on the Cell processor directly, instead of through the PS3 OS like the older SBC on some models.

So, even if I have an original copy of a PS2 game I can’t play it unless it’s on the store?

What’s the point in locking it down like that?

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. But think of if you added some great images or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!
Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this site could definitely be one of the best in its niche.
