PS3 To Get VidZone Free Music Video Streaming Service!

Remember the good old days when VH1 actually played music videos, now all you have left is cheezy dating shows. I know I myself watched Flava Flav’s , Flavor of love, but It would be nice to wake up in the morning with some tunes and videos in the background as I eat my Capn’ Crunch cereal. Well PS3 Is making my wish a reality with their VidZone free streaming music video service that is coming this summer!
The head hanchos say that is “backed by several Major record labels as well as thousands of Independent labels”, and will be available in the music section of the PS3’s XMB menu. It is also said that it’s users will be allowed to compile and save their own video library.
VidZone CTO Michael Russo says that VidZone will be “one of the world’s largest collection of music videos, allowing consumers to stream what they want, when they want it.” Users will even be able to create the playlist on their handhelds to later then stream on the PS3!
This is pretty neat-o if you ask me, an extra perk for the PS3 which I honestly do not use as often as the Xbox 360. This will motivate me to turn the on button more often.

While the app sounds interesting, I’m sure Sony will stick a price tag on it somehow. “To watch the completion of this video please insert coins”
It’s good step up for PS3. They may charge for more exclusive content, but for the most part it’s great.
@knight28
It is free for now, so they say. We will see!
