Set in the Japanese village of Hanuda, an American TV crew has arrived to research and film an exposé on the legend of a “vanished village.” Controlling seven different playable characters, the player must discover the mystery behind the curse that grips the eerie village of Hanuda.
One of the demos that were available this week on “PSN’s Download Thursday” was the upcoming survival horror game, SIREN: Blood Curse. This PS3 exclusive will come in 12 downloadable episodes and will feature a unique “sight jack” system that allows the player to see from the point of view of the Shibito, or living dead, to avoid their detection or anxiously watch as they close in. With 7 playable characters you can bet your bottom dollar, someone’s gotta go.
If SIREN turns out to be an updated Maniac Mansion, set in Japan, with some blood and gore, they’ll have themselves a winning recipe.
