PlayStation Network Store Issues, Error 80023102

[UPDATE 3] – The engineers have finished their maintenance, and applying the final tweaks. The Store should be functioning now as normal. Thanks again for your patience.

[UPDATE 2] – Sony has released a statement regarding the Playstation Store being down.  “We’re aware that some of you may be experiencing difficulty accessing the PlayStation Store at this time. We have a dedicated team working on it now and will let you know as soon as things are back to normal for everyone, both here and on the PlayStation Twitter account. We thank you for your patience, and hope to have the Store up for everyone shortly.” – Patrick Seybold, Director of Corporate Communications

[UPDATE] We received a message that now both PS3 and XBox 360 user’s are receiving issues on PSN and XBox Live while trying to download the Call of Duty Map Pack 1.

We’re getting some reports concerning PSN errors hitting some PS accounts today through the PS3. We’ve been told, since 2PM PDT (5PM EDT) some user’s have been receiving an error has occurred (80023102) code message.  With today’s release of Thursday’s PlayStation Store update, this issue could be related to all the new updates.  Other have reported, this issue is related to adding funds into the PlayStation Store wallet.

We’ll keep you posted as we investigate this issue…

    Hey guys – I have tried everything since my last post on 14 March. I tried changing address, using the PO Box, removing it, leaving out address lines 2 and 3, using caps lock, using only lowercase, deleting billing info, re adding it. Overall if a web forum said it, I tried it – I also tried a different card and no dice. Honestly a waste of time :/ the only thing that worked was a voucher, but thats not a solution just a workaround and not a convenient one :/

    Yeah im getting the error too, trying to buy ‘I AM ALIVE’ and the other day i couldnt buy ‘JOURNEY’ either. Totally unacceptable that the serivce can be down this much, this often with little explaination

    i HAVE THE SAME ERROR ALSO . I’M TRYING TO ADD FUNDS OR EVEN TRYING DIRECTLY TO PURCHASE NEW GAMES. I TRIED EVEN TO ADD FUNDS THROUGH PC BUT IT TELLS ME THAT MY CC INFORMATION IS NOT CORRECT (I TRIED 3 DIFFERENT CC AND THE SAME ERROR AND I’M USING THEM EVERY WHERE WITH APPLE, BLACKBERRY AND THEY ARE WORKING GOOD)

    SO WHAT TO DO?

    to this day i still have an issue with buying call of duty: black ops. the error code is 80023102. in addition to this problem i cant add money to my PS3 wallet… when will this problem be fix`ed?

    Its July 9th 2012 3:56am and ive been getting error 80023102 everytime i try and add funds to my wallet for 3 days now, whats going on and what can i do to fix this!? ANY SUGGESTIONS?!

    So much for adding funds so could buy the limited edition fut packs. Missed out on enhancing my team. Tried to add funds for 30 min and nothing. What an outrage how can u make something worse buy trying to make things better. Idiots all of u sort it out it’s not fair we pay all this money for games and u can’t get the full game playing experience because of error 80023102 disgraceful

    yes have tried several times to make purchases over last few days and continue to receive “an error has occurred” message and when I try to fill my wallet it gives message “wallet can not be filled” or something like that lol and the # 56 appears below the message??

    I’ve gotten 3 error codes just today, first 56 then 7 and 5 all while trying to add funds to the ps store wallet from my credit card. will we have a fix within the next 24hrs?
