Today marks the official release of Activision’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game, and what better way to celebrate this momentous occasion for the company than to sponsor a wolverine enclosure in the Edinburgh Zoo in the UK.  Even though this seems like a tacky promotion, there is a legitimate act of kindness in all of this.  Activision will sponsor the wolverine enclosure, which houses the only wolverines in the UK, for an entire year in hopes the Edingburgh Zoo can continue its breeding program throughout next year.

As a a sign of appreciation, the lead male wolverine has voluntarily changed his name to Logan.  I just hope the female wolverines don’t catch wind of that.  Logan might be a badass name to us Humans, but to Wolverines, that name is as dorky as Mortimer is to us humans (which in fact is a badass name to Wolverines).  Did your head explode yet?
