Before all you Zac Efron haters let out a sigh of relief it seems like the Death Note Remake is kinda, sorta still in the making but a while from now and not Zac’s “main” priority at the moment. The High School Musical star was recently interviewed on Collider.com on his rumored involvement with the Death Note American movie adaptation. You would think that nothing much really goes on at an aquarium but the occasional fish or shark if you are lucky. That is where you are wrong my friend, at the Georgia Aquarium it gets a little more interesting, thanks to cosplay genius of Harrison Krix. Harrison is the one in the BioShock Big Daddy Suit and his lovely fiance is cosplaying as the Little Sister. If that is not love, I do not know what is. I am trying to convince my boyfriend to dress up as L and I as Misa from Death Note. I am already one step ahead of him as I already have the costume courtesy of Knight28, a frequent commenter on the site. I mean seriously all my boyfriend has to do is grow his hair out, and wear a baggy shirt and jeans.

Remember back in grammar school and highschool , when we had Biology or Anatomy and  had to study the human body with a boring skeleton or a dummy with the organs inside of it? Quite boring if you ask me!  High school would have been quite more interesting if we had Hello Kitty’s dummys with heart and intestines popping out showing what our insides truly look out. What!! I have been a fan of Elfen Lied quite a while now, I would have to say it is in my top 5 of favorite watched anime. It’s opening song “Lilium” was also one I held close to my heart, and still do to this day. Why, I have even said I want the song played at my funeral. Emo of me no? It is a quite beautiful song and Mr. David Tidyman at St. Angela Merici Parish deems it so as well. He played it via an organ during a mass at that church on August 16, 2009, and one week earlier, he played it during communion. After the break I included Mr. David Tidyman’s version played on the organ with the original from Elfen Lied’s Opening Theme. They both brought a tear to my eye and I hope you will enjoy them to.

This right here is an amazing cover to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. It is sung by an amazing Japanese accapella group “Kuno Shinji”. The song is part of the Casshern Sins Project anime and can be found on the Hikari to Kage single by Kuno Shinji on the B-side. I thought I would share this interesting version of the song with all of you it is pretty kawaii and humorous. The singers do not know Engrish that well and they sometimes change up the words here and there but it is definitely worth a listen. Enjoy it after the break!

My two obsessions lately have been video games and anime.  If you told me there would be a day where one of the biggest video game franchises in recent history will get an anime treatment, I’d turn you to the Legend of Zelda cartoons from the late 80s to remind you what a horrible idea mixing video games and cartoons can be.  Halo Legends might be more than just a cartoon though.

Halo Legends is getting some seriously recognizable companies behind it: Studio 4C, Production I.G., BONES, Toei Animation, and Casio Entertainment.  All of these studios on their own have created amazing animes, and now, having them all work on Halo Legends is certainly going to be a treat for both gaming and anime fans.  Judging by the trailer (which can be seen after the break), all of the studios will create their own version of the Halo Legends story, similar to the Batman anime that was released a little while back.

Not much else is know about Halo Legends at the moment, but its trailer was just released today.

I know we have all wanted to visit a cosplay cafe, you know where pretty little Japanese girls serve you and tend to your every need. If you are lucky, they may even reenact a scene from your favorite anime on a stage. Now this is a treat for all your 2-D loving Otaku. What if you can have your cosplay maids look like anime characters? Sure, that sounds great and all, but do you really know who is under that costume? It could be a 13 year old boy for that matter.
