X-Arcade Tankstick Joystick $249.95 $199.95

My very first  post on PerezStart.com, was the top 5 arcade style game controllers. It was a very successful article which garnered many hits and comments. I wanted to follow up with a new champion of ASGC’s, the X- Arcade! What an amazing piece of peripheral perfection!  Glad they didn’t go away.

It looks like someone ripped off the panel of a Street Fighter II machine and cleaned out the edges.! The professional joysticks, the soft, med and hard buttons for kick and punch, plus two more extra buttons. It even sports the rolling ball controller in the middle for all of sidepocket arcade fans.

What makes this device a step above the rest is the compatibility option. You can buy a bundle with all the adapters or just get the adapter that you need for the system that you have.

“The X-Arcade™ was built with internal electronics to be compatible with the major past, present and FUTURE game systems. Once you own the X-Arcade™controller, you will never need to buy another arcade joystick again!”

The Rise and Fall of Arcades, will they ever make a comeback?
Arcades have been around in various forms since the 1920’s. They evolved from Coney Island amusement parks featuring shooting galleries to ball tossing. Through the 20th century they took on alternate forms with pinball  and fortune telling machines taking the lead. In 1972, Atari was formed and created the infamous “pong” coin op game.

cvsoopa main1 PerezStart Exclusive: Street Fighter IV Inspired Soopa

I know it seems like many a moon ago, but you may recall that back in February we ran a contest looking for an artist to draw on my Soopa figure. Out of all the artists that submitted samples of their work, one particular artist’s work really caught our attention.  Jarold Guzman had a very unique artistic style that we loved.  The fact that he is a true gamer at heart pretty much sealed the deal.
