Right now, TGS 2009 is going on over in Tokyo, Japan and Capcom finally announced the multiplayer mode in Dead Rising 2.  The new multiplayer mode is more than just you and your friends running around a map and doing god awful things to zombies.  Instead, you and your friends will be taking part in a TV game show doing god awful things to zombies.

Terror Is Reality is what Capcom has named the multiplayer component in Dead Rising 2.  The trailer that was released today shows up to four players can take part in the multiplayer mode and we can be sure there will be a lot of ways to murder zombies for our own enjoyment.

Lost Planet 2 Screens 7/8/09

Well, well, well.  Why, hello there Lost Planet 2 screens.  You’re looking mighty fiiiine.

Capcom recently released a slew of updated Lost Planet 2 screens and from what I’ve seen, it seems like Lost Planet 2 is going to be a much bigger game than it’s predecessor.  If you’ve played Lost Planet, then you know that is quite a feat as that game was not only huge, but the Akrid were quite a challenge as they were sometime 10x bigger than Wayne was!  Throw in it’s addictive multiplayer & new co-op mode, and I could see myself playing this for a long time once it’s released this winter.

We spoke about Lost Planet 2 a couple of times on PerezStart, and we are really excited about this next bit of news.  It seems that the Lost Planet 2 demo will be ‘coming soon’ according to the game’s producer, Jun Takeuchi.  During Famitsu’s “Midnight Live 360″, Takeuchi-san disclosed that the demo journalists played during E3 would be released to the masses.

Be sure to check out the E3 trailer that was released a couple of weeks ago to see why this demo announcement has got us all giddy.

Review: Bionic Commando; 8-bit Classic Mistake?

bionic commando review 1 Review: Bionic Commando; 8 bit Classic Mistake?

In the mid 1980s, most side-scrolling platformers were almost identical to one another: walk to the right of the level, jump on your enemies, and save a princess in some castle.  Bionic Commando changed what we thought a traditional side-scrolling platformer could be by completely removing the ability to jump, instead giving the hero a bionic arm which he used to grab onto various parts of the level and swing from one place to another.

It’s been over 20 years since Nathan “RAD” Spencer set foot in the video game world.  Capcom sets to breathe life into one of its oldest games with the release of Bionic Commando.  Is this game a breath of fresh air or one where noses need to be pinched?

Bionic Commando Put In The Role Of Middle Manager — Bionic Middle Manager!

bionic middle manager main Bionic Commando Put In The Role Of Middle Manager Bionic Middle Manager!

If I’ve learned anything from this video, it’s that you never — NEVER high-five anyone in an office setting, let alone a guy with a huge bionic arm.

I also wonder how he was hired in the first place?  I mean, if I was the HR rep for that office, seeing someone come in with a hulking bionic arm might set off a couple of flags in my head for the health risk of being near Nathan Spencer.

And who made him middle manager??  How did Nathan work his way up all of these years with his obvious disability having that arm attached to him to become a middle manager.  Sure it can do some pretty neat things, but the man probably can’t even clean up after himself when he’s done in the bathroom.

2D -> 3D Bionic Commando looks Marvelous

Fans of the 2D NES version of Bionic Commando may need to keep the past, in the past.  It’s like the Star Wars saga especially Episode IV.  Before they “modified” Star Wars: A New Hope it was considered a masterpiece that should never be touched, fixed, corrected.  With the technologies available today, Star Wars: A New Hope can be phenominal.  Ok, enough SW talk.  Enjoy these screens for the upcoming Bionic Commando hitting shops on May 19th.
