
Rockstar Games announced today the Rockstar Legacy Collection of PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system titles. Beginning October 15, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, Midnight Club: L.A. Remix and Manhunt 2 will be available for digital download from the PlayStation®Network for the PSP system.

Earlier this year, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars was released to the Nintendo DS as an experiment to see how well the GTA franchise can do on the #1 selling handheld in the world. We gave the title a perfect score, which is something that is very hard to do nowadays.
As we reported a while back, the sales for the title weren’t as ground-breaking as Rockstar Games would have hoped. With that in mind, Rockstar Games officially announced today that GTA Chinatown Wars will be heading to the PSP this fall, but there’s a definite benefit to this version over the Nintendo DS’.

One of the features RockStar has promised with the release of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the DS was Wi-Fi play. Some of the multiplayer modes you’ll find in Wi-Fi Mayhem are; ‘Defend the Base’, which has players co-operatively defending territory against waves of enemy gang members; ‘Stash Dash’, which pits players against each other in a rush to steal a van loaded with contraband and deliver it to their hideout; and the ‘Race’ mode, which lets players floor it to the finish line in any of 20 different courses around Liberty City.

‘M’ rated games on the DS handheld are a risk, says EEDAR’s Jesse Divnich, noting that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars only managed sales of about 200,000 units in the US last month.

After all the great marketing for Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars it seems like the Nintendo DS was not an appropriate home after all. We loved the game and gave it our first ever 10/10 review. But the preliminary sale figures are in for the month of March, and it wasn’t an impressive showing for CTW. Many analysts say this game will be one of the best rated ‘M’ games available for the Nintendo DS. And with sales figures only around 200,000 units sold in the US alone, something will have to change.

So day 2 of Comic Con is over and what did I see? I had hands-on with many of the upcoming games, so check out which games I absolutely loved and which one’s were “meh”.

I began my afternoon meeting up with a couple of the PR and Producers for Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars. We spoke about the main character, Huang Lee and his relationship to the Triads. I openly joked with the Producer from RockStar Games, and asked if Huang Lee has any trace back to the Ziabatsu? I have to admit, he was impressed that I brought up a gang from Grand Theft Auto 2 and we chit chatted more about GTA2 then finally GTA:Chinatown Wars. Taxi Driver’s Must Die!!!
