If you’re familiar with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Javelin glitch and own a PlayStation 3, have no fear. According to a Sony rep on CVG, they are not banning players who are exploiting the bug. Which means, until Infinity Ward pathces the PS3, keep the cheats coming and enjoy killing all those around you . Now XBox 360 players on the other hand, should fear Microsoft and their minions on the look out for glitch abusers. As they WILL be temporarily banning players who exploit the Javelin Glitch. Everyone knows multiplayer is the bread and butter of the Call of Duty’s franchise. So naturally, there’s a good reason why they’ve been using the same engine since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Reliable gameplay. But this time Infinity Ward stepped up to the plate and brought their “A” game with Modern Warfare 2 and of course bettered a great game.  This fast paced First Person Shooter is the continuation of COD4 with upgraded lighting, textures and visuals. The easier to navigate menu shows you one of three gametype choices and proves it’s not all just about multiplayer anymore. Special Ops, Campaign and Multiplayer modes all provide a different slice of MW2. In our first ever group review, Aaron Mazza, Carlos Macias and I will break down Special Ops, Campaign and Multiplayer mode respectively.  We know the term “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” but did Infinity Ward and Activision raise the bar?

Here it is, Modern Warfare 2 in-game footage.  I should clarify the title of this post.  I didn’t mean World of Warcraft.  I meant the reaction of watching it.  This trailer will simply leave you saying that plus more words only a Pirate would use.  Since we’re no booty hunters or are missing teeth, wait… scratch the booty hunter part.  Brought to us by Activision and developed by Infinity ward, MW2 will be released this November (sounded a bit commercially right?).  Anyhow, sit tight folks, it’s coming…

Even before the internets had a chance to wrap this gift and bring it to the party, InfinityWard is already claiming this screenshot is a hoax.  A good hoax, but a hoax nonetheless.  So as we wonder if Iamfourtwozero is telling us the truth, he may be telling us that THIS screen is a hoax.  That is, it WAS real until they changed the title from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (cod6) to just Modern Warfare 2.

So “fake” is confirmed, what do you think?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a new home. It’s not cod6.org, but they have a great layout. Over at modernwarefare2.com, you’ll see the most amazing green artery image you’ve ever seen.  Ok, now that sarcasm has left for a minute, let me ask… “What’s the deal?”.  No creepy note, like the teaser site for Bioshsock 2.  What could it mean?  If I were a betting man, I’d say the site will soon be filled with MW2 goodies.  For starters, they can at least put up the first screenshot featuring the non-funny Dane Cook.

For the 6th year straight, Call of Duty will be hitting stores.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been officially tagged as a title Activision will be releasing in 2009.  Infinity Ward is picking up where they left off in COD4.  Activision CFO Thomas Tippl confirmed today that Infinity Ward’s shooter will definitely be arriving this holiday season and is, apparently, “looking incredible.”

Last month we posted some “leaked” information on MW2, but confirmed through InfinityWard’s twitter account, they’re claiming it’s a fake.  Let’s see if another “leaked” story or a funny Dane Cook sighting pops up.  One of those is inevitable, right? RIGHT???

[This Rumor Debunked Here] It’s coming.  And details have been leaked.  Here’s a list of features you can expect to see in the upcoming COD:MW2 or COD6 to Call of Duty fans.  A couple of highlights mentioned on this list, Killcam save feature and Modern Warfare maps will return.

I had a chat with Qrey-zee on some features we’d like to see in the upcoming Modern Warfare 2.  He mentioned he’d like to see the ability to shoot while on ladders and I think restarting your perks should be enabled.  After 7 kills, 3 kills should get you recon…

*Vehicles will be in MW2
*M16 will return, using stopping power will only be OHK at head, neck, and torso (abdomen, limbs, and hands/feet will not)
*Ak47 and M4 will return, unknown if there are any changes
*M40 will return, ACOG damage boost will be fixed
*Scorpion, P90, M21, R700, G3, G360 will not return
*There are more unknown weapons that will not return
*New sniper rifle: SR25M (United states forces)
