Right now, TGS 2009 is going on over in Tokyo, Japan and Capcom finally announced the multiplayer mode in Dead Rising 2. The new multiplayer mode is more than just you and your friends running around a map and doing god awful things to zombies. Instead, you and your friends will be taking part in a TV game show doing god awful things to zombies.
Terror Is Reality is what Capcom has named the multiplayer component in Dead Rising 2. The trailer that was released today shows up to four players can take part in the multiplayer mode and we can be sure there will be a lot of ways to murder zombies for our own enjoyment.
When you hear the words, Dead Rising, one usually thinks of a couple of things. Zombies. Tons of weapons. Shopping Malls.
Capcom released the debut trailer for Dead Rising 2, and although it doesn’t take place in a shopping mall this time, it does take place in Las Vegas. As you can see from the trailer, you can expect more zombie slaying, more weapons, and more interesting ways to slay tens of thousands of zombies.
You remember the first Dead Rising don’t cha? No? Ok, if you’ve seen Dawn of the Dead, you might recall the mall scene where zombies were trying to eat there brains? No? Jeez, what HAVE you seen lately? Friday the 13th? Well, ok now we’re getting some where. Capcom has announced that Dead Rising 2 will be coming to ALL Next Gen platforms. Which platforms? PC, PS3 , and XBox 360. Here’s what we know so far:
Takes place in Fortune City (Resembling Las Vegas)
Development by the Canadian studio Blue Castle Games
Keiji Inafune will be the game’s producer
You’ll be fighting thousands of Zombies
Keiji Inafune, head of just about everything at Capcom, told Famitsu Magazine that while multiplatform is pretty much a given for the two super sequels, they are considering given some sort of bonuses to Xbox 360 owners.
