Before all you Zac Efron haters let out a sigh of relief it seems like the Death Note Remake is kinda, sorta still in the making but a while from now and not Zac’s “main” priority at the moment. The High School Musical star was recently interviewed on Collider.com on his rumored involvement with the Death Note American movie adaptation. His exact words are after the jump and I am sure it will actually make you a bit angrier and in discontent with Zac.
Yet another reason for my love/hate relationship with my Xbox 360. Viz Media is now providing us Anime/Gaming fans some of their most valuable animes at a discounted price on no other but Xbox Live!
Just out, Warner Brothers has acquired the rights to adapt Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata of the supernatural suspense manga series, Death Note into a live-action film! Last year Vertigo Entertainment announced the American remake with screenwriters Vlas and Charles Parlapanides. They are still on board with the project with Warner Brothers, so no need to worry there. Vertigo Entertainment is responsible to such remakes like (The Grudge), (The Eye), (The Departed) and a bunch of other movies starting with the word “The”.
MTV’s Iggy site has leaked the first 10 minutes of L, Change the world for all us Death Note obsessed fans who cannot wait until this Wednesday April 29th and Thursday April 30th to see it in the theaters! I will patiently wait to see it the day of the release but if you all love spoilers and need your Death Note fix, your prayers have been answered with this little teaser! Enjoy!
As we all know by now, Zack Efron has been cast to play the role of Light Yagami in the American remake of Death Note but one you tube user has her own star filled cast in mind. I am not giving it away but I highly agree with the actor that was chosen for the role of L even though he may look a little older , I can not think of a a better talented actor with such a striking resemblance and personality to L. Also the star the youtube user has chosen for the part of Misa is pretty spot on as well, I can see it even though she is not my favorite actress in the world. Well enjoy and let me know of your thoughts on who should be cast in the remake!
Chobits revolves an alternate reality where robots and humans coexist, we are actually closer to this reality nowadays then we think! The robots in this series are called persacoms and they help humans in their day to day errands. Some happen to be maids, nurses, hand held devices as well as companions and lovers. There was a special persacom named (Chi) , that was thrown away onto the street. A poor college boy from the country named (Hideki) finds her, makes her his own, boots her up in a peculiar way and takes care of her at his home. Chi you later find out is no ordinary persacom, she is one without a disk and is programmed to have human emotions , the main one being love. This anime is filled with laughter, drama, and romance. Could a human really fall in love with a persacom? Why don’t you find out! This was one of the first animes that hooked me in to the otaku world and still one of my favorites. That is why it is number 1!
2. Death Note
Death note could have easily been the first on my list, it was a very close call. The story revolves around Light, a college student who finds a notebook lying on the ground coined “Death Note”.He “reluctantly” picks it up and that is when havoc ensues! Light can basically write anyone’s name down in the book with his or her face in mind and kill him or her off with the jot of a pen.Later on it becomes a whole moral issue on who he kills, why and a very entertaining cat and mouse game between Light and a detective names L. Think of CSI and Law & Order multiplied by a thousand. It is one of the most exciting intellectual dramas I have encountered and extremely recommended!
Viz pictures recently announced that DEATH NOTE: L, Change the World, will be a live-action two-night, multi-city event on April 29th and 30th at select theatres. The first showing will be subtitled and the second dubbed. I personally prefer subtitles to dubbed any day. Personally, the movies are not as great as the manga and anime version in my opinion but if you are a hardcore Deathnote Fan, you will see them to support the series anyway. That and if you have a crush on L, I again choose the anime version of L. Is that odd?
Two of my favorite anime cartoons have decided to unite and it is a beautiful thing! The Power Puff Girls and the ever so popular Death Note! I love how the shirt captures Light’s evil side in the shirt but personally I would’ve liked the L in the front lines. I am a little bias towards L though, what can I say. They run in men sizes so I suppose I’ll be ordering a small! You can get this amazingly cute tee at Jlist.com, Jbox.com if you are under 18! Trust me some of the things on Jlist are a little more risque then cutesy t shirts! It is only $19.95 so get yours today stat!
For all you anime fans out there, there’s a little manga that became an anime, which has now evolved into a 3-part live action film. If you’re hard-core, you probably already know what I’m talking about. You guessed it right, Death Note. For those that do not know, the story revolved on Light, a college student who finds a notebook lying on the ground coined “Death Note”.He “reluctantly” picks it up and that is when havoc ensues…
