
All 2’s (sequels) on the last day of E3. The final day of E3 is approaching. While E3 will be coming to a close today the games that were announced, demo’d and trailer’d will continue in development until their release date. But let’s not allow the conclusion of E3 affect our heads that much. There are some great games worth checking out today and we have today’s and previous day’s schedule below.

It’s coming March 2010. Unfortunately, God of War will be coming to an end. But what an ending!
During Sony’s E3 press conference, a live demo of the game was shown. Kratos looked absolutely amazing on the PS3, and I could only imagine what he’ll look like when I get him home. Kratos’ brutal fighting moves has only gotten stronger with age as the demo showed him riding harpies to progress through the level, only to completely butcher them when he reaches his final destination. He then battles a mid-boss Hydra. The battle changes as each head is cut off. When a head is removed, the battle stance of the hydra changes to the head that’s currently fighting (i.e. battle with the snake head meant the enemy would be at a lateral stance; battle with the lion head would have the enemy standing on two feet)

Nintendo and Team Ninja announced today they are working on a more mature Nintendo game. The title is a new Metroid game and it’s said to be an edgier game compared to previous Metroid titles.

Another Mario title seems to be in the works, aside from the recently revealed ‘New Super Mario Bros.Wii’. The game is a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy and includes fan favorite, Yoshi.

Nintendo announced the Wii Vitality Sensor for their Nintendo Wii platform. The device looks similar to a heart beat monitor that hospitals use which attaches to the tip of your finger.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong will be receving a new game in the series; Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again. The game will be downoad only and will be accessible via the DSi’s shop.

A new Golden Sun is currently being developed for the Nintendo DS entitled, Golden Sun DS. It’s been nearly 8 years since Golden Sun debuted on the Gameboy Advance.

Nintendo’s hugely popular Wii Fit will receive an update in the form of Wii Fit Plus. Wii Fit Plus allows players to have more of a workout routine where players can go from exercise to exercise without needing to go back into the menus. There are 6 new strength and yoga activities included as well as 15 new balance games.

Wow, yesterday’s E3 press conferences were very impressive with Microsoft stealing the show. It will be hard to compete with the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Rising heading to the XBox 360 and breaking it’s traditional exclusivity to Sony. So what’s in store today? Nintendo will be leading the wave at 9:00 AM PDT (12:00 PM EDT) followed by Sony at 11:00 AM PDT (2:00 PM EDT). Rumors speculate a new Mario game will be announced on the Wii.
