In an interview at the Executive’s Club in Chicagon, Microsoft CEO Steven Ballmer indicated that a new Xbox console would be released in 2010, with built-in camera support. But shortly after, Microsoft’s Director of Product Management for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Aaron Greenberg told Kotaku “There will be no new console.”
Our friends over at CNBC have complied a list of the top 10 games to watch this holiday season. They list obvious goodies like Beatles Rock Band, Halo 3 and Tony Hawks Ride. However they list some new surprises like the buzz game of the E3 convention, Scribblenauts and the sleeper of the year, Heavy Rain by Sony.

All 2’s (sequels) on the last day of E3. The final day of E3 is approaching. While E3 will be coming to a close today the games that were announced, demo’d and trailer’d will continue in development until their release date. But let’s not allow the conclusion of E3 affect our heads that much. There are some great games worth checking out today and we have today’s and previous day’s schedule below.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has got to be one of the most anticipated games this year. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was a groundbreaking title as it gave us a chance to play an exploration adventure game that didn’t involve a smoking hot British woman wearing short-shorts and a double D rack. We also felt a closer connection with Nathan since even though he was smart, he sometimes doesn’t make the right decisions.
In this Uncharted 2: Among Thieves trailer, we get a better understanding of what is going on in the Uncharted 2 world. Once again, Nathan is looking for an artifact, but this time it seems he’s looking for it in order to keep it out of the wrong hands. As is expected, the graphics are absolutely stunning.
If you’re anything like me, ever since Left 4 Dead came out last year, you’ve been waking up in cold sweats reliving your game sessions. It’s been keeping gamers fighting zombie swarms on a daily basis while keeping every experience fresh with the AI Director. For the first time in its company’s history, Valve is working on a direct sequel that is going to be released nearly a year after the original.
Left 4 Dead 2 will have 4 completely new survivors to fight your way from Savannah, GA all the way over to New Orleans, LA. As with the original Left 4 Dead, the survivors of Left 4 Dead 2 are folks who normally wouldn’t be found together: a high-school football coach, a mechanic, a local news reporter, and a gambler and conman.

In a Konami Press conference Hideo Kojima has announced that he will be making 4 NEW games. Among those titles, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The whip will continue to strike, as the new character Gabriel, whose mask can bring the dead back to life, will be the main character.
So I said it was going to be hard for anyone to compete with Microsoft’s impressive press conference on Monday. I may have been mistaken. Nintendo and Sony made some huge announcements with Metroid, New Super Mario Bros for the Wii and Agent and God of War III gameplay for the PS3.
The PS3 is getting an exclusive title called Agent. Agent will be made by Rockstar Games and will have that “must buy” approach that GTA has. Similar to Metal Gear Solid, it will be an espionage game that takes place in the 1970’s.
Wow, yesterday’s E3 press conferences were very impressive with Microsoft stealing the show. It will be hard to compete with the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Rising heading to the XBox 360 and breaking it’s traditional exclusivity to Sony. So what’s in store today? Nintendo will be leading the wave at 9:00 AM PDT (12:00 PM EDT) followed by Sony at 11:00 AM PDT (2:00 PM EDT). Rumors speculate a new Mario game will be announced on the Wii.
