"According to the Daily What, Ric Turner, a former Disney 'imagineer' and special effects specialist, turned his yard into a game of Guitar Hero, built out of 21,268 lights and LEDs, that plays Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover." To program the show a video recording was made of a perfect round of Guitar Hero playing Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover. The timing of all the dots and the light show choreography follow that video. When you play, you watch only the Christmas lights, but the audio you hear is from the Wii, so your flubs are broadcast for all to hear (people in cars can tune 99.1 and crank it up as loud as they want.)"
Nice going Disney! The Princess and the Frog and now this! I was quite amazed when I saw the video, which you can all see after the break. Well, Mrjuandrful you know what to do right? Create a DJ Hero Christmas light show to compete! Come on there is still time.
No more pennies to weigh down the needle from skipping, Activision’s DJ Hero is the real deal without scratching your vinyls. Growing up in the late 80’s to early 90’s everyone either wanted to be a DJ, were friends with a DJ or tried scratching on their grandparents old turntables. Heck, my older brother, DJ Gonz, mixed it up in the 90’s snatching up every milk crate he knew of within a 10 mile radius. Fifteen years later, how will this DJ simulation game compare to the real thing?
Hip-Hop rapper Eminem released a new music video for his new single “We Made You”. The video is a satirical look at how recent ‘celebrities’ have been represented in the media. The video and song lyrics poke fun of Sarah Palin, Jessica Simpson, and Amy Winehouse to name a few.
One thing I couldn’t help but notice is the widely known Guitar Hero track in the background as Eminem is rapping in the forefront during certain parts of the music video. Clearly this is an indication that video games are as controversial as Eminem is in the public eye. Either that, or Eminem really likes video games.
We have all thrown Rock Band and Guitar Hero parties, come on admit it they are a hoot! Not to mention Lips and Singstar parties , where you have to plead with most of your friends to join you because they are to “cool” to karoke. Well, anything cooler than yodeling you will not find, bring your friends over and swap spit over your alphine horn while your friend yodels! Happy Happy Joy Joy! I does not get any better then”Alphine Legend” for the Xbox 360! Is it an April Fool’s joke, most likely but you be the judge!
I’m a music lover, and I loved games like Amplitude and Guitar Hero when they FIRST were released. But averaging 4 games a year is getting ridiculous!
Guitar Hero’s strategy of changing their titles instead of giving their titles a number is an annoying strategy for us the gamer. No one cares that you’re coming out with the “Greatest Hits For 2009″ or the fact that there’s a WEEKLY set of Downloadble Content (DLC). I’ve supported Activision for their previous releases, and I know this Franchise is a money maker, but Just End it already. In 4 years, there have been 15 different versions of Guitar Hero. And many of you crave for more?
We all make mistakes, but making a box art mistake is gamer gold. The latest Guitar Hero Metallica which features all the names of the bands that will be rocked out on the cover has mispelled one of their artists. This screenshot of the Xbox 360 Boxart, shows how the band “Lynyrd Skynyrd” is mispelled Lynyrd Skynrd”. Big deal? Maybe not, but the legendary rock band should be pissed. Let’s hope Activision-Blizzard can correct this blunder before the game ships out March 29th.
So it’ s Valentines Day and my hubby and I are cuddling on the couch browsing the world wide web on his and hers laptops. Yeah I know not as romantic as going out for an expensive dinner and movie, but hey, at least we’re together and the stuff crust pizza from Pizza Hut was delicious! But anyway, while browsing on my usual 4 websites: Perezstart, Perezhilton, MSN and Yahoo (a tad bias… i know, lol) I came across an interesting article on “7 Games That Changed The World” courtesy of yahoo.com. While the list caught my eye I have to say I disagree with some of the selections. Thinking of where gaming started and where we are today…I don’t know… I’ll give you their list and let you decide.
1. Pong (1975)
Obviously I have to agree with this, I mean come on you pretty much can compare this to Ford’s 1908 Model T!
2. Pac-Man (1980)
Ok while I’ll agree this should be on the list I personally liked Ms. Pac-Man way better. Notice the Ms. salutation, I guess we’ll really never know if she and Pac-Man got married.
