June was a good month for gaming. We reviewed inFamous and Red Faction and found those games to be great. But another game we just may have to review soon topped this list. Prototype. It’s a game that Daniel touted as his game of the year but I thought would falter with inFamous resembling Prototype. I guess 360 games perform better on a head-to-head and this chart proves it.
1. Prototype (Xbox 360) – 419,900
2. UFC 2009: Undisputed (Xbox 360) – 338,300 Read more…

Surgical masks, hot flowing magma or pachinko arcades.. hmm what caught my attention first. I think it’s when I saw Ray Spheres shattered down to earth and breaking into shards, that I knew inFamous was going to be a great title that didn’t need help from the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta to get attention. Your choice to become a force to be reckoned with or the lovable noble hero of this metropolitan city is completely up to you. Good or Bad, the choice is all yours…
Many are claiming inFamous is a mixture of Spiderman: Web of Shadows and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed in a Grand theft Auto world and with good reason. The similarities of jumping atop building to building, hanging from ledges or the fact that you wield a force like electrical power through your body can contribute to the comparisons. But instead of playing the role of Peter Parker or The Apprentice, you play Cole in Sucker Punch’s first title for the PS3, inFamous. The story begins in Empire City, a city resembling NYC of course, which was struck by a cataclysmic blast that left civilians in survival mode with a plague spreading and the chaos surrounding ground zero. The city is quarantined and taken over by the gangs, most notably the Reapers.

With inFamous being released in less than a month, Sony has released a new trailer for the game in order to remind us that we indeed need this game.
The trailer shows Cole performing a number of moves to move around the world or to dispose of an enemy or two. If you watch the trailer closely, you’ll notice that the movements Cole is making from scene to scene are linking together. Whoever put this trailer together needs to get some kind of recognition.
Needless to say, between Cole’s electrical powers and the ever changing environment, this is going to be a game PS3 owners need to experience.

We’re really starting to love announcement dates. We know their done purposely to build anticipation. So that’s our job to build it up even more. Bundled between an inFamous and Uncharted 2 screenshot, we’re told there will be an Electrifying Announcement” on Monday April 27th.
We think their announcement will be centered towards playable demo’s for both games available on the PlayStation Network (PSN). We know inFamous has an official release date of May 26th, Uncharted 2 is still on target for generalized 2009 release date.
So what do you think will be Sony’s Electrifying Announcement?

Set for a original launch date for June, news broke this morning on the PS Blog that inFamous will make it’s highly anticipated debut of May 26th. While this news is not all that shocking, because the title was originally pushed back to begin with, what IS surprising was a confirmed date BEFORE their originally annouunced date.
It seems most publishers grasp onto a date as the very last chance to work out all the bugs. While May 26th is the official US release date, the game must be in production way before that and shipped to retailers. Why bump it up a month? Maybe it’s been in “bug testing” mode this entire year (2009). Nevertheless, Sucker Punch has promised to blow all of us away with inFamous. The PSN trailers alone have done just that thus far. And with the demo hitting the PS store on May 21st, only time will tell.
