It seems the Wii can output HD signals… with a catch of course. The 720p screenshots of the New Super Mario Bros. Wii were captured off an emulator. That emulator is known as the Dolphin. With most emulators, the Dolphin’s system requirements are pretty intense. While we don’t promote the use of any piracy, the screens are more of a preview of what “may” come. It also shows the games were made with the ability to support the 720p graphics, so why the Wii was made to top 480p is still a question.
In Canabalt, there is a “jump button.” A jump button to jump over obstacles, across ledges, and for breaking through windows. And…that’s about it for a game that has you making a daring escape away from unknown danger and traversing over randomly-generated building tops.
For those wondering if rumors of the Nintendo Wii dropping it’s price tag were just that.. rumors. No need to wonder. Nintendo has revealed through Press Release that on Sunday September 27th, you’ll be able to pick up the fastest selling console over the past 3 years, the Nintendo Wii for $199!

When I think of India, all I think of are how that country depends on Americans to break their computers so we can give them a call in order to be told obvious ways to fix it like making sure it’s plugged in or not. But according to this latest video to hit the internets, it seems India not only has talent, but there is a TV show dedicated to showing off said talent. I know! I was surprised too!
The talent in this video isn’t to see how many times they can make their customers irate over the phone within 15 minutes, but instead, it’s a recreation of Super Mario Bros. Last I remember the game, I don’t recall it being played under a blacklight or Bowser having a laser gun, but that’s just me. Read more…
Another Mario title seems to be in the works, aside from the recently revealed ‘New Super Mario Bros.Wii’. The game is a sequel to Super Mario Galaxy and includes fan favorite, Yoshi.
Nintendo announced during it’s E3 Press Briefing this morning that a new Mario game is in the works. The game will allow for multiple players (1-4 players) to play at once. The game is set to launch ‘Holiday 2009′
You can pick up other players during gameplay to either save or to doom them by throwing them into a pit. When a player dies, they eventually come back in a bubble, to which the active players can pop them to bring them back into action.
Flickr user tastypaints.com had a crazy idea. That being what it would be like if 8-bit games were as violent and bloody as they are nowadays. The game who pretty much started the gore all together being Mortal Kombat, was his inspiration. He captures the essence of tearing hearts out of opponent’s body sort of speak and makes innocent characters who would never dream of such a thing do the unthinkable!
I know you all have seen your share of Mario skits but you have not seen anything yet till this one. Japan always wants to one up America or perhaps they do it naturally. Here is Super Mario World through Japan’s eyes. I love the Obama appearance and the little Mario!
