World of Warcraft Releases Facebook App

image thumb1 World of Warcraft Releases Facebook AppI once heard that Facebook was just a big MMO, and that’s gradually becoming true. Blizzard has announced an application for Facebook, so you can share your shiny new purple text files with your uninterested friends, family, and coworkers. Achievements, level-ups, boss kills, and phat loot are broadcast over the Facebook news feed, which are all pulled from the official World of Warcraft Armory activity feeds for up to five characters. I tried using something like this called TweetCraft, that would share achievements, zone changes, and screenshots over twitter, and frankly, the vast majority of people who follow you probably don’t care, and I doubt Facebook is any different.

It’s a cool idea, and a logical step for Blizzard’s slow, purposeful stride towards world domination, but unless you’re using Facebook primarily to keep in touch with WoW friends, this is one app that will likely get blocked into oblivion. If you’re cool with that, you can install the World of Warcraft Facebook app here. Just keep in mind that I’ll probably unfriend you. Jussayin’.

Oblivion V

Many of us had the luxury of time this holiday weekend! Some of us went away and visited family, some of us stayed home and had family over. I dusted off my copy of Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV and played for days on days.

What a fascinating game, First Person Shooters don’t have the breadth and depth of an ES4.  I woke up this morning thinking, yes Fallout 3 is out and its the next chapter in Bethesda’s library which has been highly acclaimed.

Realtime Worlds has been hard at work on APB for quite some time.  No one has heard or seen anything new regarding their upcoming MMO, but APB Evolved was sent a little surprise from Realtime World’s Chris ‘Ulrich’ Dye.

The little surprise came in the form of a new screenshot that was taken in-game to show off the amount of character customization that will be in APB, as well as confirming they will be showing the game off at E3.

Check after the break for a clickable image, which will let you see the new screenshot in all its glory.

needforspeedworld2 400x300 EAs Need For Speed World Online Details...

The Need For Speed Online Franchise is being revamped.  It’s coming to a ‘Personal Computer’ near you in MMO form.  What that means for you is that you’ll finally feel like you own your car and race against other online players for recognition.  I know that when I played Gran Turismo with my friends, we played for Pink slips, no copying of cars.  Whoever lost the race would have their car moved to the winning players memory card (on the PlayStation).  An idea that, that allowed the smacktalking to have meaning… and consequences!
