Tekken 6 Review Main

With Street Fighter IV & King of Fighters XII rejuvenating the fighting genre, it was time for the Tekken series to step into the ring and show other fighting games how it’s done.  With the largest character roster in Tekken history, HD graphics, and competitive online modes, is Tekken 6 the best fighting game our current generation of consoles has to offer?

Magnacarta 2 Review Main

Namco-Bandai recently released the sequel to their popular Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche which was released in 2001 on the PS2.  Even though the game is titled Magnacarta 2, this isn’t a direct sequel of the original title.  Magnacarta 2 will have players fighting their way across the Lanzheim Continent, but will players have any fun doing so?

Gundam Senki

Wow, that didn’t take long.  It seems like Namco-Bandai and Sony have teamed up to come up with this bundle for the new PS3 Slim.  For now, the bundle will make an appearance in Japan and comes with Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki.  Never heard of the game?  It’s coming September 3rd.  Since the bundle is for Japan, I’m surprised a Yakuza bundle was not introduced instead.

Here’s what comes with the Japan 120gb PS3 Slim bundle:

Katamari Forever Gives Katamary Franchise 1080p Graphics & More

katamariforeverlogo Katamari Forever Gives Katamary Franchise 1080p Graphics & More

Katamari Damacy is one of my hidden, guilty pleasures. The game has a pretty simple premise: roll up anything and everything that you lay your eyes on.  In the past, Katamari Damacy games weren’t the most visually stunning, but we looked past that minor detail since the gameplay was so addictive.

Katamari Forever for the PS3 will bring Namco Bandai’s beloved game into the HD world by supporting full 1080p graphics.  Not only that, but the game will allow you to roll things up on a much grander scale.  You thought rolling up buldings was cool? Imagine rolling up entire continents and planets!

Now all I need is a 1080p HDTV so my eyes can fully enjoy the goodness of rolling up people, who wail their arms and scream bloody murder while I roll them up with my gigantic Katamari.

christiana tekken 6 The Cast of Tekken 6, Artwork Pics

Namco Bandai’s upcoming Fighter game, Tekken 6 will hits stores later this year.  The screens below will show you 20 characters, many of those from previous Tekkens.  Panda is back.  King looks more ferocious.  And Wang is still old!  As in old we mean wiser, of course.  The real set of winners’ in this set are the Tekken Women.  Although they’re artwork pics, my brain didn’t notice!

Available for the X360 and PS3 in Japan now, this hot title won’t be released in the US until the fourth quarter of 2009.  Not sure why the big gap, but it should be worth the wait.  Screens below:
