Ever visited Tatooine? Me too! Through the glorious (before it was ruined) Star Wars Galaxies. There was so much scum and villainy on that planet, I knew I was there. Cantina? Only the best “entertainers” dancing would infiltrate those venues.
In the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic, set for late 2010, you’ll enjoy this latest MMO with a setting many KOTOR fans will enjoy. And we got the screens here to prove the Sarlac is as ugly looking even years before The Return of the Jedi.
Although the original The Force Unleashed had mixed reviews, it was welcomed by Star Wars Fans nonetheless. LucasArts has decided to test the waters again, by announcing “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II” at the 2009’s Vide Game Awards.
For those who missed the VGA’s, here are all the winners for 2009. Alot of obvious winners with some disagreeing on Game of The Year. A game we scored a perfect 10/10.
This mod made for PC was created by the Germans — the BlackMonkeys — and they’re calling it “Galactic Warfare”. Perfectly named, I say. It features real Star Wars skins over COD4 players. What’s better are the guns. Recreated from the Star Wars Galaxy, you can shoot Rebels using the storm troopers patented laser rifle, DLT-20a.
The image above nearly caused me to think I missed the biggest point-n-click adventure game. But after some research, I realized this fan made iteration of Han Solo Adventures was not made by LucasArts but is currently being developed for free play by Stacy Davidson.
The title above is pretty self explanatory, it is sexy chicas in bikinis reading lines from a Star Wars script. Why? For no apparent reason obviously, they are not too bad as actors either. Well, I will let you be the judge of that. I am sure you will not be paying attention to their acting “skills” anyway or their ways with “words”. I do not know why I am “quoting” so much but that is why I am here as the “writer” and you are the “reader”. Enjoy the video boys and thank me later!
The upcoming title from LucasArts and BioWare, Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) will have full voice over for every character in the game. Which means, every character you encounter will have a speaking role. Whether you interact with local merchant from a thrift shop, a standing guard at any palace or the supporting Star Wars characters, they all will speak.
The “Wilhelm Scream” is legendary. Stormtroopers belted it out when tossed from a ledge in all 6 Star Wars films. In fact it’s so famous it’s an industry term. We all know that the “Wilhelm Scream” has been used in countless films and television shows, but some of you might be surprised to find out how many video games use the sound clip. We currently know of 73 video games that use the scream and are excited when we here a new one. If you know of any others, leave a comment below and we’ll update the list.
Below are the list of video games that include ‘The Wilhelm Scream’:
Today is May 4th. In the upcoming PC game, Star Wars: The Old republic, Majestic forests, toxic swamplands, desert landscapes, and hazardous war zones – the worlds that make up the Star Wars™ universe are unique and enriched with compelling storylines. Watch Developer Dispatch: Diverse Worlds and go behind the scenes to find out how the developers are bringing the worlds of Tython, Korriban, Hutta, and Ord Mantell to life – a few of the many playable worlds in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Enjoy the diversity of the worlds, and see where the Hutt’s planet up close. Since “Hutta” has not been described in any Extended Universe books, the developers had a blank slate to work with. Making the world a cesspool with plenty of Hutt Palace’s ontop is a brief description of what to expect in the video below:
Last night, on one of my regular strolls through New York City, I stumbled upon an invader of the space variety! Thankfully, I was able to pull out my camera to take a quick snapshot before the Space Invader realized he had been seen, which would have resulted in a missle being launched straight for me!
As of now, no one knows why this Space Invader is in New York City. If Star Wars has taught me anything, it’s that this particular Space Invader isn’t a long-range fighter. Who knows where or when the mothership will come for it.
